My boyfriend drives my car occasionally and my full-coverage insurance will cover him and my car if he were to get in an accident. Hi, im looking to buy a car that i would occassionally use. i work in birmingham and live in the city centre but need a car for oncall. when im not oncall i get the train. when i dont need the car i would leave it in nottingham with my parents where my dad would occassionally use it. the car would be kept more at the nottingham address than my birmingham one. insurance is cheaper at nottingham so can i put that as the car location even though it would sometimes be in birmingham. it sounds obvious but an insurance company has really confused me saying it must be in birmingham which makes no sense as the car would be kept more in nottz. ive been told insurance companies will try there hardness to avoid paying out say for example if the car was stolen. please help!

My fiance and I are borrowing a newly acquired friend's car to drive from our wedding 2 1/2 hours to the airport, we are also driving the car from our school to the wedding 2 1/2 hours. We have also driven the car before, and may drive it again. Now our friend is saying that we should be on her insurance, and we're afraid this person might be an identity thief or something, and they are asking for our driver's license number and a signature. We don't know the insurance company they are with, but do we have to give out any information at all? And if so, what kind of information are we required to give? I'm a college student, not living with my parents, which means I will need to start my own parents. and I'm looking to buy my first car, which might be an out-of-state title. Say I eventually, locked on a deal. The question is: Do I have to buy insurance before paying for the car. But then how does the insurance company assess the quote since I haven't had a car yet. Do I just tell them the make and year of the car I'm Going to buy for sure or how does it work? What if I bought the insurance, but the deal didn't work out, and I have to choose other car/ make/ year? Or, can I get it insured soon After I make the purchase?
